What is snagging?
Snag lists or schedules are more correctly termed Schedules of Outstanding Works and consist of a list of minor defects or omissions in the building works for the contractor to rectify.
The “snag list” process explained
- We arrange inspection date with your builder.
- We view the property.
- We prepare a report outlining the defects or poor standard of works noted from our inspection.
- We send a copy of report to the client and their builder.
- We can revisit the property to ensure all items on the snag list have been dealt with.
When is the best time to get my ‘snag list’ completed?
Ideally between contract exchange and pre-completion. – We believe the best time to get a snag list completed is before the release of the purchase monies, when the builders main aim will be to obtain the full purchase price.
